Ennui terrible à sa découverte et revente du blu-ray US dans la foulée…
Certains sur FB blaguaient que ce serait ce film avec l’image du chandelier, j’aurais préféré que ça reste au stade de la blague…

Narc en 4K UHD, pour moi, c'est "day one".

J'ai un très bon souvenir de ce film : un p'tit air de Serpico pour Jason Patrick (j'aurais bien vu Mark Ruffalo dans ce film mais Jason Patrick est excellent (et trop rare); "Collateral" c'était sorti après je crois ? Et si "In The Cut" peut-être considéré comme accessoirement un polar (flic, scènes de commissariat et de crime), il y était excellent et troublant), de "Touch Of Evil" pour Ray Liotta; des poursuites à pieds comme le début de la poursuite dans French Connection (1) mais filmées comme un film de zombie à la "28 days later".
Vous connaissez des bons polars nerveux sortis récemment ?
"Triple 9" était prometteur mais je suis resté sur ma faim.

Il n'y aura pas d'édition Arrow combo UHD/Blu-Ray ? (Les steelbooks zaavi comme True Romance c'est fini ?)

Ah tiens, les bonus de Narc sont sur un BR dédié plutôt que sur l'UHD afin de faire une édition 1-disque. Intriguant.

Il n'y aura pas d'édition Arrow combo UHD/Blu-Ray ? (Les steelbooks zaavi comme True Romance c'est fini ?)

Cela a toujours été au cas par cas et non systématique. Il faudra attendre l'annonce officielle cette après midi pour savoir ce qu'il en est ici.

Des polars tout court il n'y en a déjà pas beaucoup, alors des bons... Je crois que c'est un signe des temps.
Relativement récemment il y a eu Trainé sur le bitume dans un registre nerveux et un peu sale. Ca avait partagé mais on était quand même nombreux à apprécier.

Bref, Narc ca fait très envie en HD, et encore plus le Lumet d'ailleurs, qui est à mes yeux un de ses très grand films. Sachant que l'on peut se brosser pour voir un BR chez nous à mon avis. J'espère que ce ne sont pas des sorties exclusives aux US.

J'ai un doute que la sortie UK du Lumet. Il me semble que dernièrement, les titres Paramount chez Arrow étaient des exclus US : The Tin Star, The Scarface Mob, The Warriors, The Shootist, Fear is the Key, Witness, The Day of the Locust, Barbarella, The Desperate Hours, Fighting Back, Black Sunday, ...

(de fait, c'est aussi possiblement le cas pour Narc)

Que des bonus d'archive pour le Lumet, un peu dommage (sans parler de cette affreuse série de docs The Directors). Par contre, miam le remaster. Le film en avait bien besoin !
