Mmmm, mine de rien, ça montre qu'ils l'ont maté et décortiqué, et donc vu et écouté les dialogues sans doute un paquet de fois, ce qui démontre un certain courage et un comportement tendancieux, ce qui me rappelle que la tv égyptienne avait diffusé en novembre dernier une série incorporant de vrais bouts du fameux "protocole des sages de sion". Pffff

Egypt criticised for 'anti-Semitic' film

Egypt has been heavily criticised by the United States, Israel and Jewish groups that a TV series it is planning to broadcast is anti-Semitic.
The programme uses a forged document called The Protocols of the Elders of Zion - which describes a Jewish plot for world domination - as a central plot device.

Egyptian Information Minister Safwat al-Sherif has denied that the series contains anything anti-Semitic, and on Friday said that Egyptian Government policy was not to broadcast content that "harms sacred religious values".

Historians believe the Protocols of the Elders of Zion were fabricated by anti-Semites in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.

It was later used in Nazi Germany and other parts of Europe as a pretext for persecuting Jews.

'Incitement'

The US State Department has complained to Egypt and has contacted other Middle East countries which are preparing to broadcast the programmes, to request them not to.

"It is a series... supposedly on other topics, but that incorporates or is based on these odious protocols, the Elders of Zion," Richard Boucher said.

In a letter to Secretary of State Colin Powell, a US-based Jewish pressure group, the Anti-Defamation League, described the series the "latest manifestation of an ongoing pattern of anti-Semitic incitement in the Egyptian media".

Ramadan broadcast

The 30-episode series, Horseman without a Horse, tells the story of an Egyptian man fighting British imperialism and Zionism in Palestine in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

We have not tried to determine if the book is authentic or fabricated. Israel's practices in Palestine are more dangerous than this book

Reports say it draws on some elements of the Protocols, a forged document purporting to prove Jews plan to dominate the world.

The main character in the series leads the struggle against the British until he finds a book written in Russian that turns out to be the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

This provides proof, for the character in the series, that his enemy is not the British, but the Elders of Zion.

The series is scheduled to be broadcast during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

'Dramatic effect'

The makers of the series have defended the programme.

Mohammed Baghdadi, a screen writer, told the French news agency AFP: "We have used the book of the Elders of Zion at a dramatic level."

The actor in the main role, Mohamed Sobhi, told AFP: "We don't have any problems with the Jews, but we are against the racism of the Zionists."

"We have not tried to determine if the book is authentic or fabricated," Sobhi said. "Israel's practices in Palestine are more dangerous than this book."

Sauf que sur le coup, je suis désolé mais les américains n'ont pas grand choses à dire de ce coté là quand on connait la campagne raciste anti française qu'à connu les US par l'intermédiaire de certain média sans que ces derniers soient inquiétés.

Ah bon? C'était quoi alors les arguments qui disaient dans le NY Post par exemple que les français n'utilisaient pas de savon etc etc... Je me suis déjà expliqué la dessus avec Ronny mais l'article que j'y avait lu utilisait les mêmes démarches simplistes que les campagnes anti juives à l'époque Nazi en Allemagne (ils ont de un nez crochu etc etc...)

Certe ce qu'à fait l'Egypte avec cette fiction est vraiment scandaleuse mais ce n'est pas le fait que l'on comdamne cela qui m'offusque: c'est le fait, pour les US, de voir la poutre dans l'oeil du voisin sans dégager la paille qui se trouve dans le sien. (j'ai fait exprès d'inverser)

Il n'est pas question d'un distingo de race (étendu à la religion pour l'antisémitisme), mais simplement de montrer du doigt une population nationale (les français). Les américains ont effectivement très souvent l'habitude de voir la paille dans l'oeil du voisin plus que la poutre dans le leur. C'est un manque de recul et de discernement entretenu par une ambiance et un discours général d'autosatisfaction, de patriotisme et de suprématie.

Ceci dit, cela n'est pas à confondre avec du racisme, chose qui existe parfaitement aux USA, et qui touche les Noirs depuis plusieurs siècles sans être totalement révolu.

Bon d'accord je n'ai pas utilisé le vocabulaire approprié... Mais attention je suis tout à fait d'accord que ce qui se passe en Egypte est beaucoup plus grave et subversif que ce qui s'est passé pour nous durant ces quelques mois seulement... Mais bon... Egypte/Israel c'est une histoire qui dure depuis longtemps...
