Si je comprends bien, il y a un film de Szulkin qui est dans le coffret zone A de Severin, et pas repris dans le coffret Radiance, c'est Golem.

Est-ce qu'on sait si un autre éditeur a prévu de le sortir ? Si ce n'est pas le cas, j'aurais tendance à prendre le coffret le plus complet.

Le coffret Bounty Hunter c'est fort tentant, je vais prendre.

Le visuel du Yoshida me rappelle un peu trop l'édition Criterion de The Long Day Closes.
Sinon, le coffret Bounty Hunter a effectivement l'air très tentant, ainsi que le Lou Ye.

Suzhou River est top. J'aimerais bien qu'il sorte un jour chez nous mais bon...
Pour le coffret, je ne connaissais pas cette trilogie. Ça a l'air très alléchant. Pareil ça sortira surement jamais chez nous malheureusement.

Quelques courts avis (de HungFist, Finlandais vivant au Japon qui a vu bon nombre de films nippons) concernant la trilogie Bounty Hunter :

Killer's Mission (Shokin kasegi) (1969)
The Street Fighter director Shigero Ozawa helms a supremely cool samurai spy pic with the one man army Tomisaburo Wakayma in the lead. The main villain is played by none other than Toei’s greatest yakuza baddie Bin Amatsu. Add Koji Tsuruta in a cameo, and female ninjas played by Tomoko Mayama and Yumiko Nogawa, and you know what we’re into; first grade high bodycount entertainment. The only notable weakness is the slow moving 20 min episode that comes after the halfway. The rest is pure retro chambara gold. Also look out for Wakayma making fun of his real life Zatoichi brother.

The Fort of Death (Japan, 1969) [DVD] - 3/5
The second film in the trilogy (following Killer's Mission) is less of a samurai spy flick and more of a Seven Samurai variation. Tomisaburo Wakayama leads a five man army defending a small village from corrupt officials. His trademark gatling gun comes in use. Action, ninjas, silly sex jokes, and an amazing body count provide entertainment even when the storyline and execution fail to rise above average.

Eight Men to Kill (Japan, 1972) [DVD] - 2/5
The last film in the trilogy is the weakest of the three. Wakayama is again a doctor/bounty hunter, this time hunting for stolen gold. Wakayama is good, but the storyline and Shigehiro Ozawa's direction are routine. It's watchable, but lacks highlights. More action wouldn't have hurt either. It's especially disappointing considering this came out the same time when Togo was releasing the far, far superior Lone Wolf and Cub films.

Je vais prendre les 4 films japonais le mois prochain (en espérant que le coffret soit toujours dispo). 10% de ristourne, si on prend tout, c'est bien mais c'est toujours plus cher que si on ne prend que 2 articles...

Suzhou River et Big Guns seront peut-être pris lors d'éventuelles soldes (bien plus tard).
