Les Looney Tunes sont de retour en Blu-ray



The Digital Bits : "Our old friend George Feltenstein of the Warner Archive Collection has revealed on Tim Millard’s The Extras podcast that a new Looney Tunes Collector’s Choice: Volume One Blu-ray collection is coming on 5/30, featuring 20 cartoon shorts—all Blu-ray premieres and uncut, most of them from the Golden Age, and many from the original nitrate negatives—including Chuck Jones’ Beanstalk Bunny (1955), Arthur Davis’ Catch as Cats Can (1947), Frank Tashlin’s A Tale of Two Mice (1945), Robert McKimson’s Daffy Doodles (1946), and Friz Freleng’s His Bitter Half (1950)! And the best news is that if this release is successful, it will be followed by many more, including lots of as-yet-unreleased animated shorts."

J'étais passé à côté de l'info mais un volume 2 de la compilation Disney 10 Classic Shorts doit sortir le 27 juin :

Bonjour, avez-vous connaissance d'une édition correcte et complète, a priori étrangère, de Terre sans pain (Las Hurdes) de Luis Buñuel ? Je l'ai sur 2 DVD dont un français (en bonus sur Los Olvidados) mais l'image et le son sont mauvais et il manque certaines scènes... Par ex vers 3 minutes la version complète montre plusieurs décollation de coqs avec le commentaire "cette fête sanguinaire cache sans aucun doute plusieurs symboles ou complexes sexuels". Le CRDP de Lyon l'avait apparemment sorti en DVD en 2008, mais c'est introuvable. Sur YouTube on a cette version satisfaisante, mais je l'aimerais sur support physique, et je me dis qu'il doit bien exister un BR quelque part... Qui idéalement contiendrait aussi Un Chien andalou, L'Âge d'or voire (rêvons un peu) Simon du désert...

PS. Bien dommage qu'il ne soit pas inclus sur le BR du dessin animé Buñuel, après L'Âge d'Or...

Ça ne répond pas exactement à ta question, mais L'Âge d'Or et disponible en blu-ray chez BFI avec Un Chien Andalou en supplément. Cette édition est épuisée depuis quelques années mais si tu tiens a avoir ces films en HD c'est une option.

Chez Kino :

The history of screen comedy did not begin with Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton. Prior to their appearances on the American screen, an entire generation of comedians was already establishing (and breaking) the boundaries of this rapidly evolving genre. While working at the Vitagraph Studios, music hall artists such as John Bunny, Frank Daniels, and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Drew retooled their brands of comedy into something uniquely cinematic, advancing the art form and setting the stage for the slapstick explosion. This three-disc collection, presented by the Library of Congress, showcases the bold innovation of these overlooked pioneers, including the ingenious trick film The Disintegrated Convict, the gender-bending irrereverence of Edith Storey, and the epic scale of Larry Semon’s The Sawmill. Vitagraph Comedies also provides precious glimpses of comedians (e.g. Flora Finch or the comedy duo Montgomery and Rock) who are virtually forgotten today, because so little of their work has survived.
