Pour Nanban, les sous titres anglais sont bien mais pas de sous titre français sur mon DVD.
Les plans sont souvent très proches de ceux de 3 Idiots sauf ceux des chansons.

Note moyenne : 4,2 sur 5 pour la presse avec Ecran Large et Les Inrockuptibles qui donnent des notes maximales de 5 sur 5. Le rêve pour un réalisateur! Je meurs d'envie de voir le film. J'ai lu quelques extraits de critiques mais je me suis arrêté. Je préfère les lires après avoir vu le film et le découvrir au ciné.

Twinkle a été actrice mais pas très longtemps. Elle a arrêté après son mariage avec Akshay.

J’espère que Gangs of Wasseypur partie 1 se jouera encore a Paris quand j'y serai. J'aimerai vraiment voir le film sur grand écran

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011)





Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (MBKD) est une comédie romantique produit en 2011 de Ali Abbas Zafar. Ce film est produit et distribué par Yash Raj Films.

L'histoire :
Luv,qui vit à londres, insiste pour que son frère Kush lui trouve une épouse suite à une rupture difficile. Ce dernier traverse alors toute l'Inde à la recherche de l'épouse parfaite pour son frère. Une des jeunes femmes qu'il vient voir se trouve être une ancienne connaissance, Dimple, libérée et extravertie. Il décide que Dimple est la femme parfaite pour son frère. Après une rencontre par webcam, Dimple et Luv sont d'accord pour se marier. Mais Kush et Dimple se rendent compte rapidement qu'ils s'aiment pendant les préparatifs du mariage...

j’espère qu'il se jouera encore, ainsi que "the dirty picture" que j'aimerai bien revoir mais sur grand écran. Il y a aussi le festival bollywood au brady qui va jusqu'à la fin du mois d'aout je crois.

Agent Vinod est un film d'action/espionnage indien de 2012. Il a été réalisé par Sriram Raghavan.Le titre est une reprise d'un film de 1977.Il a été filmé en Inde, Maroc, Russie, Lituanie, Grande Bretagne, Afrique du Sud, et Pakistan.Le film est produit par Illuminati Films et Eros Entertainment.

In the Dasht-E-Margoh desert in remote Afghanistan, inside a Taliban camp, an ISI official, Col. Huzefa (Shahbaz Khan), is interrogating a captured man (Saif Ali Khan) suspected to be a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent. The man offers up details about RAW's operations in Afghanistan in exchange for money and safe passage across the border. He betrays his colleague, Major Rajan (Ravi Kissen), who has also infiltrated the camp. This is only a ruse, as both overpower their captors and fight their way out of the camp. Along the way, they rescue a girl called Farah (Maryam Zakaria). The man is actually a RAW agent and his nom-de-guerre is Agent Vinod.

In New Delhi, Agent Vinod enters RAW headquarters to meet his boss Hassan Nawaz (B. P. Singh). Nawaz shows him Major Rajan's final message from Russia. Just as he completes his message, Rajan is killed by a man who has a scorpion tattoo on his forearm. Nawaz asks Vinod to find out what '242' is. Vinod travels to Moscow, and enters a nightclub owned by Abu Nazer (Ram Kapoor). He manages to capture and interrogate Nazer, who tells him a man called Freddie Khambatta is to smuggle the million to Morocco. Vinod is almost captured by Nazer's men, but manages to escape, killing Nazer in the process.

Vinod boards a flight to Marakkesh, Morocco. Freddie Khambatta turns out to be the flight steward. Vinod picks him up from the airport, only to assume his place. As Freddie, Vinod meets local mafia boss David Kazan (Prem Chopra), who is accompanied by his personal (Pakistani) doctor, Ruby Mendes (Kareena Kapoor). Kazan suspects Vinod, and gets Ruby to administer him a truth serum. Vinod blurts out that he is a RAW agent and killed Abu Nazer. Kazan confronts Vinod when he regains consciousness, but Vinod manages to convince him he is Freddie Khambatta, and explains he had to kill Abu Nazer to protect the mission. He manages to hack Kazan's phone and finds out that a MI6 agent is reaching Morocco the following day.

In the meantime, Vinod gets closer to Ruby, and tries to find out what '242' is. Ruby is actually Iram, a British-Pakistani who is working undercover for the ISI. Vinod goes to meet the MI6 agent and finds him murdered in his room with strong pointers that the murder was committed by Ruby. He gets an invitation card from the murdered agent's room for a private auction. He learns that many international terrorist groups are converging at an antiques auction in Marakkesh to purchase '242'. Vinod brings Ruby to the auction, where Kazan is also present along with Jagadishwar Metla (Dhritiman Chatterji). Vinod spots an LTTE agent he had encountered previously, and from him, learns that '242' is actually the detonator for the nuclear device, disguised as an antique volume of Omar Khayyam's 'Rubaiyyat'. A bidding war ensues, and Kazan manages to secure the detonator.

In Chaman, Baluchistan, the head of the ISI is murdered by Col. Huzefa, who is actually part of a group of rogue ISI colonels planning an attack on India. In Morocco, Kazan locks the detonator with a password, and hands it over to Colonel (Adil Hussain), who has arrived in Morocco. Iram runs into the real Freddie Khambatta, and finds out Vinod is a RAW agent. Managing to escape from men trying to kill them, both agree to work together to prevent the nuclear device from falling into the wrong hands. Ruby returns to Kazan's estate only to find it ransacked and Kazan shot dead by 'Colonel'. 'Colonel' captures Ruby and asks her to reveal the whereabouts of Agent Vinod. He plants a sniper next to the hotel where Agent Vinod is to rendezvous with Ruby. The sniper takes a shot at him but Vinod manages to escape and is admitted to a hospital. The assassin reaches the hospital in the guise of a doctor and tries to administer a venom injection to Vinod. Vinod spots the scorpion tattoo on the doctor's forearm and overpowers him, killing him. He then clears his way out of the hospital to find Iram.

'Colonel' who is now in possession of the detonator, has reached Latvia to acquire the bomb. He enlists Iram to seduce an airport security employee to get his ID card. Iram succeeds in doing so, and 'Colonel' provides the ID card to his man, who is to transport the bomb out of Latvia. Colonel also sets up a rigged bomb so that both the airport employee and Iram die in the blast. Vinod arrives and as he interrogates Iram, the blast occurs, giving Iram the realization that she was being set up by the Colonel.

Vinod and Iram join hands and try to capture the Colonel and the bomb. Iram tells Vinod that the Colonel has called for a meeting at Karachi with fugitive don Pasha who can also be in the plot. The Colonel gets the Rubaiyat and tells his men to kill Vinod and Iram. However, Vinod manages to kill them all. Iram and Vinod reach Karachi, where they meet Farah, who is a dancer. With her help, they enter the wedding attended by an Indian mafia don (Gulshan Grover). There, they learn that Col. Huzefa and the don have agreed to smuggle the nuclear device from Karachi into India via the sea route. However, they are captured by Col. Huzefa, from whom they learn the target of the bomb is New Delhi. They manage to escape, and make it to New Delhi, where they try to find the location of the bomb. They find that the Colonel is staying with an ISI/Lashkar agent, who is an old professor. Iram finds the professor's map, which is of the bus route that Jimmy is taking with the armed bomb.

Iram hurries to the exhibition where Colonel is hiding as a pilot. Iram runs into 'Colonel', and is shot, but points him out to Indian security forces, who kill him. Eventually, Vinod tracks down the bomb and takes the bomb up in a helicopter to detonate it as far away from the city as possible. Iram realizes that David Kazan had set the password to the detonator and asks Vinod to try the name of Kazan's camel. The bomb is defused but Iram dies of gunshot wounds. Later Vinod sees a recording, showing Metla planning the attack. Vinod accuses Metla and the Zeus group for murdering millions for making money at the global stock exchanges and starting a nuclear war in sub-continent for geo-political reasons. Metla mocks Vinod, telling him world affairs are too complex for 'lowly police officers' to understand. However, Vinod is wearing a wire, and London cell of the Lashkar-e-Toiba are listening in. Realizing that they have been manipulated by Metla into almost starting a war with India, with the Pakistan government violently cracking down on them, the Lashkar sends a suicide bomber (Arif Zakaria) to assassinate Metla at a function in his honor. Metla is killed, but posthumously feted as a great philanthropist.

On a beach in Cape Town, the beautiful Russian girl who first acquired the nuclear device is seen sunbathing. She looks up to find Agent Vinod smiling at her. It is apparent Vinod has moved on to his next mission.

Sympathique programme ! Veinards de parisiens (c'est ma faute, je n'aurais pas dû déménager ! bou hou hou !)
J'ai effectivement entendu du bien de Gangs of Wasseypur, et The Dirty PictureEt, je confirme, 36 China Town est drôle, mais également charmant, et surtout, ce qui est rare, une bonne intrigue policière.
J'avais aussi bien aimé Jaan-e-mann.
Par contre, Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), et Baabul (2006) ne m'ont pas laissé de souvenirs impérissables, je demande confirmation !

Le Festival Bollywood du cinéma Brady a lieu depuis quatre ou cinq ans si mes souvenirs sont bons. Le Brady a diffusé régulièrement des films en dehors du dit festival qui se tient chaque année à la même période et continue de le faire. Le programme de l'année dernière me semblait tout de même un cran au dessus avec Om Shanti Om, Aaja Nachle et Chak de India, autrement dit, trois perles.

En ce qui concerne les sorties de l'année 2012, je suis plutôt intrigué par Kahaani qui est semble-t-il un excellent film (papiers+échos des spectateurs et envol considérable de Vidya Balan qui est une actrice qui a gagné tous les prix majeurs et qui bénéficie d'une belle popularité), Ishaqzaade, The Dirty Picture ainsi que Gangs of Wasseypur (je ne comprends d'ailleurs pas trop la logique du distributeur français d'espacer de six mois le volet 1 et 2 alors que le film est sorti dans un délai beaucoup moins long en Inde). Il y a aussi le retour à la réalisation de Yash Chopra, huit ans après Veer-Zaara, une fresque qui reste presque isolée dans la production milieu des années 2000 début des années 2010 tant il n'y a pas eu à ma connaissance d'équivalent en terme de gigantisme, de mélodrame flamboyant et d'aboutissement visuel, à l'exception, dans un autre registre d' Om Shanti Om mais qui date déjà de 2007.

Et Marjolaine a raison, outre qu'elle signe un papier remarquable (comme d'habitude) au sujet de cette nouvelle vague indienne, qui a germé depuis le coup de tonnerre Dev D en 2009, marquant ainsi la naissance d'un cinéma qui s'autorise à sortir des carcans (ou des canons selon son humeur) d'un cinéma codifié, qui a fait ses preuves par le passé et sa renommée, car il se montre moderne, aborde des problématiques jusque là quasiment inexploitées pour en faire un cinéma d'auteur contemporain. J'ai même lu que Kashyap c'est un peu, pour certains la rencontre entre Léone, Tarantino et Scorsese. Je pense que ça prévaut essentiellement pour son Gangs of Wasseypur. Je vais jeter un oeil à That girl in Yellow Boots.

En ce qui concerne les films programmés, je dirais :

36 China Town, film assez mineur, intrigue plutôt amusante, film de divertissement sans grande ambition mais loin d'être désagréable. Comme je ne suis pas fan du casting (Shahid Kappoor et Kareena Kappoor), le film m'était un peu passé au dessus de la tête. Je préfère la veine plus outrancière (dans les rebondissements en cascade) du duo Abbas-Mastan dans Race par exemple.

Apna Sapna Money Money : Idem comédie très mineure, comme il en pullulait en 2006. Absolument aucune originalité, mais j'aime bien Celina Jaitley malgré toutes les critiques que l'on peut porter à son jeu caricatural. Il y a une chanson que j'aimais bien Dil Mein Baji Guitar.


Le film anticipe un peu ce que sera un an plus tard Cash avec Zayed Khan. Je n'aime pas trop le film non plus, mais il y a une chanson que j'avais trouvée amusante dans sa construction, intitulée Zara Bachkle, filmée en un seul plan-séquence.


Baabul : Mélodrame archi classique mais pas déshonorant. Bonne interprétation de Rani Mukherji, le film s'appuyant aussi énormément sur le charisme et le talent d'Amitabh Bachchan en patriarche. On y trouve aussi une gloire du cinéma des années 70, Hema Malini, qui donnait également un clin d'oeil au même Big B dans Veer-Zaara en 2004.


Phir Hera Pheri : Pas vu, mais à quelques exceptions je suis allergique aux comédies hindi.

Jaan-E-Mann : Pas vu en entier. Mais je détestais cordialement Akshaye Kumar avant de changer d'avis quand je l'ai vu dans Singh is King puis Heyy Baby que j'avais trouvé assez drôle.

Vivah : Peut-être le mélo le plus premier degré et bourré de minauderies des années 2000, réalisé par l'auteur du cultissime Hum Apke Kain Koun en 1994, avec Shahid Kapoor et Amrita Rao. Néanmoins je n'ai pas décroché durant 2H40, probablement parce que je trouve Amrita Rao absolument craquante (et ce depuis Main Hoon Na où elle apparaît dans la chanson d'ouverture Chale Jaise Hawein qui m'a beaucoup marqué, et puis elle était très bien dans l'excellent petit film My Name is Anthony Gonsalves qui est passé inaperçu en 2008 mais qui est très bon film).

Vivah, un film scandaleusement rétrograde et puritain pour les uns ou au contraire profondément romantique au premier degré pour les autres. A chacun de choisir.

Oui, moi aussi j'étais resté scotché devant Vivah, un film absolument sans intrigue, relatant le mariage des deux héros, super-craquants.

Quant à Kahaani, c'est une somptueuse surprise de l'année, jeu d'acteurs, suspense, coups de théâtre, rues de Calcutta filmées sans fard... Excellent !
