Pour moi le premier vrai ratage du groupe après un excellent premier album, deux albums où selon moi la production amoindrissait l'impact des chansons et un Reflektor qui aurait pu être grand s'il avait été moins long. Extrêmement flemmard en terme d'écriture et d'inspiration. De toute manière, groupe de rock et durer artistiquement sont deux choses rarement (pas du tout?) compatibles.

• 3CDs feature Steven Wilson & Robert Fripp stereo mixes of In The Wake Of Poseidon (1970), Lizard (1970) & Islands (1971) + additional tracks.
• 6CDs feature the Islands line-ups early concerts from Germany (new to CD) & the UK (1971).
• 9CDs feature live recordings (several new to CD and/or previously unreleased in any format) from the 1972 US tour, including a new stereo mix of Summit Studios & an expanded Earthbound.

Faut pas être si dur, ça reste de la pop

Également déçu par cet album. 2-3 chansons surnagent mais il y a beaucoup de déchets.

Reçu ! J'ai écouté trois plages sur quatre jusqu'à maintenant et c'est du tout bon !

Écouté en entier hier et c’est du tout bon jusqu’au bout !

Pour le coup, je viens de me commander le seul qui me manquait :

Godspeed You! Black Emperor ! - Yanqui U.X.O.

Je trouve un peu moins inspiré tout ce qui a suivi celui-ci, (mais pas écouté le dernier).

Personnellement, je ne suis pas tout à fait d'accord. Les trois derniers ont la même structure (2 morceaux longs, deux courts plutôt orientés drone), mais regorgent de moments forts. Pour moi le moins bon reste skinny fists like antennas to heaven. Sleep est fantastique, mais il y a trop de longueurs sur l'ensemble de l'album.

Effectivement, question de goûts, puisque je place Lift your skinny fists au sommet (sans doute parce que c'est avec celui-ci que je les ai découverts).
