Journaliste: Were you comfortable directing Scarlett and Javier in that scene where they are making love in bed?
Woody Allen: When they are kissing? You know, it was nothing. I mean, for me it was nothing, I didn't get to do it. They started kissing, and I thought I would make the scene extra long, beyond what you would think would be long to make a statement. I wanted to have the camera in close so it would go in and out of focus. They just kissed, and kissed, and kissed. Then when it was over that was it. They went their own way and there was no real feeling because they are actors. They get paid. Kissing for a couple of minutes, I watch, and say 'Okay, we'll do it again.' Then it's over and we movie on to the next thing.
