'Lifes Rich Pageant' , the 4th album by R.E.M, will be released as a deluxe edition to mark its 25th anniversary.

The album was recorded between April and May,1986 at John Mellencamp's Belmont Mall Studios in Indiana and produced by Don Gehman.

Singles from the album were 'Fall On Me' and 'Superman'. It became the first R.E.M. album to go Gold.

The deluxe edition of 'Lifes Rich Pageant' will include a bonus disc of previously unreleased material titled 'The Athens Demos'. It will feature 19 songs including the 12 that made the final album. One of the tracks, 'Wait, has never fore been released but has made its way to bootleg albums over the years.

EMI will release 'Lifes Rich Pageant' deluxe edition will be released in June.

Je vais devoir faire une formation accélérée grand banditisme si je veux financer tout ça, mais je note quand même.

Je ferais mon possible pour les editions immersion de The Wall et Wish You Were Here. Heureusement qu'il y a 6 mois entre entre leurs sorties respectives !

The Jesus And Mary Chain est de ces formations matrices qui connaissent à intervalle régulier un regain d'intérêt, tel groupe reprenant le flambeau avec un sens du pastiche plus ou moins approprié, tels principaux intéressés décidant soudain de se reformer, ou tel label s'entichant des classiques passés pour les rééditer.

C'est la troisième option qui a cours aujourd'hui puisque, un lustre après le label Rhino, Demon Music Group a annoncé pour le 19 septembre la ressortie en édition deluxe de Psychocandy (1985, "touché par la grâce") et Darklands (1987). Les deux albums originaux seront accompagnés d'une trentaine de chansons bonus - faces B, démos soi-disant jamais entendues, versions alternatives rares -, d'un livret de 32 pages parsemé de propos tenus par Bobby Gillespie (leader de Primal Scream, feu batteur de JAMC), et d'un DVD mêlant clips, interviews et live.
