Visiblement, c'est HMV qui faisait le tout car la fin de l'ajustement des prix d'Amazon s'est fait au moment des nouveaux soucis financiers de HMV. Sur blu-ray.com, c'est il me semble ce qu'on m'avait, là aussi, expliqué.
Zoom, Zavvi et Rakuten semblent être considérés hors du radar d'Amazon. Je suppose que leurs catalogues à trous (en tout cas pour Zoom et Zavvi) expliquent en partie cela.

C'est logique. En effet, y a ce souci des "trous" dans les dispo' des titres qui est assez frustrant quand on voit les "nouveaux" prix d'Amazon UK.

N'y avait il pas eu une com' d'HMV insinuant un retour "prochain" aux affaires ? J'ai dû rêver...

Je n'ai pas suivi en détail cette nouvelle démise financière. J'avais suivi la précédente début 2010s, car ma petite amie faisait sa thèse en Ecosse, et je m'intéressais un peu plus à ce qui se passait au Royaume-Uni sur le sujet.
Cependant, de ce que j'ai lu, HMV a effectivement été repris, par qui plus est des gens plus ou moins spécialisés ou sérieux. Ils devraient pouvoir continuer "tranquillement" d'opérer en physique, mais moyennant des fermetures supplémentaires (encore) de magasins (mais celui de Doncaster au moins a rouvert).
Le site web ne permet par contre plus d'acheter en ligne, donc je suppose que ceci explique en partie cela.

Finalement Powerhouse a le même catalogue qu'Elephant films chez nous mais avec une tonne de bonus intéressants ! (dommage que l'on ait pas ça chez un éditeur français)

Je peux donc revendre mes Elephant, peu convaincants, sachant que les films de ce coffret seront sûrement bien mieux présentés.

J'ai déjà le Criterion mais je repasse à la caisse pour ce coffret!

Le coffret Criterion n'était pas excessivement blindé non plus, certains disques n'ayant qu'un seul bonus (et pour un de ceux là, c'est une simple chanson coupée de 3 minutes et basta). Mais au moins, il avait le mérite de regrouper les films dans un coffret financièrement plus accessible, incluait les plus récentes restaurations pour chaque film, plus des bonus effectivement plus nombreux, là où Elephant, il me semble, répétait les bonus d'un film à l'autre (sauf pour Venus Blonde, sorti plus tôt que les 4 autres).
Mais là, c'est encore un cran au-dessus. Outre les 4 commentaires audio, on a 2 documentaires, une conférence audio, des intros à chaque film par le fils von Sternberg, et 6 nouveaux modules / interviews (dont un de Tag Gallagher). Soit probablement 5h de matos (même si je suppose que ça risque d'être en partie redondant). Et un livret de 120 pages. Pour 60 balles.

J'attendrai tout de même d'avoir le coffret de PH pour comparer, mais j'ai pas trouvé l'image des Elephant extra. Alors que les critiques des Criterion sont plutôt bonnes.

C'est sûr que c'est la limite. Moi dans le doute j'ai préféré garder mes dvd, c'est pour dire ! Les masters fournis par Universal (qui a les droits des films paramount des années 30-40) sont rarement terribles. Pas sûr que Powerhouse fasse des miracles non plus... A voir donc.

Je crois qu'il n'y a pas trop de questions à se poser avec Powerhouse, même si ça peut faire mal de l'admettre.

En tout cas, ça me va. Des économies en perspective. Je commençais à accumuler beaucoup de retard jusqu'aux prochaines soldes. Ouf !
